Guided Vic Falls Tour (Zimbabwe)
One of the most popular activity providers in Victoria Falls, Shearwater, offers English-speaking guided tours of Victoria Falls.
Guests will be picked up from their accommodation at various times (8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.) or by individual arrangement and taken to the Victoria Falls Visitor Center at Victoria Falls National Park. Alternatively, visitors to Victoria Falls can also wait for the guide in the nice Shearwater Cafe directly in the national park.
The guided Victoria Falls tour then leads through the rainforest of the small national park to various viewpoints on the Zimbabwean side. Shearwater tour guides ensure that the best photo opportunities are taken and also provide lots of information about the geology, flora and fauna of Victoria Falls. The guided tour takes around 2 – 2.5 hours.

Moonlight Tour / Lunar Rainbow at Victoria Falls
During the full moon, this guided tour of Victoria Falls is also offered at night. Victoria Falls is one of the few places in the world where the nocturnal rainbows (lunar rainbows) can be observed - a unique natural phenomenon.
Lunar Rainbow
A lunar rainbow is basically the same as a day-time rainbow, with the exception that the light source is not the sun, but the moon. Lunar rainbows are much fainter, because the light reflected from the surface of the moon is less intense, than light from the sun direct. Only when the moon is full and the skies are clear, is enough light available to show a rainbow.
Schedule of the Lunar Rainbow Tours at Victoria Falls
The Lunar Rainbow guided tours from Shearwater are similar to the regular guided tours of Victoria Falls. If you have already been to Victoria Falls National Park on the same day, you have to leave before 6 p.m., line up again and pay again. In contrast to the day tours, the night tours are accompanied by a park ranger.
The best lunar rainbows are seen in the "spray months" (June – August). However, you definitely need waterproof clothing for this time if you don't want to get completely soaked in the African winter. Shearwater provides suitable rain protection overhangs.
