Victoria Falls jet-boat tour
The jet-boat tour is another adrenaline intensive activity offered at Victoria Falls. It is one of the few ways to experience Victoria Falls from below (rather than above). The jet-boat tour is organized by activity operator "Shearwater Victoria Falls".
"Shearwater" claims, that the true power and intensity of the Falls can only be felt from below the Victoria Falls, covered in their spray. That being said, the jet-boat trip is just the perfect way to experience the mighty Victoria Falls.

“Shearwater Victoria Falls” will usually pick up guests at their accommodation in Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) in the morning and organize the transfer to the starting point of the jet-boat tour. If you want to get picked up from Livingstone (Zambia), please let us know, so we can make a special arrangement for you.
After climbing down to the Zambezi, an introduction is done and the guide will hand over life-jackets and helmets. Then a specially made 465 horsepower strong jet-boat will take participants up the rapids right under the Victoria Falls into the so called boiling pot. After leaving the Boiling Pot, it is time for a fast-paced thrill ride, up and down the rapids at high speed through the Batoka Gorge.
The jet-boat takes 12 passengers maximum. Minimum 2 passengers are needed for the trip. The participants will be 45-50 minutes on the water, but the whole trip will take up to 3 hours.
Participants must be at least 12 years old and big enough to fit into the smallest safety vest. During high water, from about April and May and during low water, in November and December, the jetboat adventures will not be operational.
What you need to bring along for the Victoria Falls jet-boat adventure:
- Clothes that can get wet
- Comfortable shoes
- Sunscreen
- Waterproof camera, if available

“Shearwater” provides videos and pictures of the trip at the end of the tour at an additional cost, which is definitely worth the purchase!
